Introduction 

 

The data that I collect is kept to the minimum required to operate as a photographer and videographer in order to maintain contact with my clients. This data includes names, contact telephone numbers, postal addresses of direct clients and other important people and email address.

 

All data is collected by Sally Ann Daniel of Rowans Photography. I will collect data via email, direct phone call, social media messaging, contact on my website at www.rowansphotography.co.uk and formal paper contract and planning documentation. Please read the policy carefully and contact me with any questions or concerns about your privacy.

What information do we collect?

 

Personal data as detailed above and the images I photograph or film on the day. I need permission consent from you to use either type of data and this is agreed with a contract once you’ve decided to purchase one of our bespoke packages. We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile. 

 

How do we use personal information?

 

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes: 

 

1.To provide and operate photography and videography services;

2.To provide our users of our website and clients with ongoing client support;

3.To be able to contact our users and clients with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;

4.To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

5.To comply with guidance from ICO (The Information Commissioner’s Office)

 

When do we share personal data?

 

I use photographic images and video footage collected for promotional purposes, this being identified in my terms and conditions. These could include, short highlight films or stills and photography used within my websites or uploaded to social media. I will not share or sell your data to any third parties, but I may need to share elements of your data with suppliers for prints, video hosting and data storage devices (DVD cases, USB sticks and cases). I also need to keep a record of data legally and could be required to pass information onto law enforcement agencies such the need arise.

 

I will not share your data such as photographs or short film footage if you expressly inform me in writing and I won’t share it or any other information, that’s your legal right but hopefully you’ll be happy for me to upload your photo’s or film for promotional purposes as per my terms and conditions. I have taken steps to ensure all files are stored on either, an encrypted, password protected drive or on a GDPR compliant cloud service that operate encryption including hosting on the Pixieset.com platform.

 

Where do we store and process personal data?

 

Our company is hosted on the Pixieset.com platform. Pixieset.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Pixieset.com’s data storage, databases and the general Pixieset.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

 

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our Terms and Conditions, applicable laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

 

How long do we keep your personal data for?

 

The way I collect data and store it should have no negative effect on you and in most cases your personal data will be deleted after a year, This may not be the case for images stored on our website for promotional purposes or 3rd party data processors such as, messages sent via Facebook Messenger but if you have any concerns please contact me. You can also ask for a copy of any data I store about you and I will comply with guidance from ICO (The Information Commissioner’s Office)
